Evolink Expands Regional Connectivity with New Interconnection to InterLAN Internet Exchange

SOFIA, Bulgaria – October 31, 2025 – Evolink, a leading provider of telecommunications and data center services in the Balkans, today announced the establishment of a direct, high-speed connection to InterLAN Internet Exchange (InterLAN-IX), the largest internet exchange in Romania. This strategic expansion of Evolink's network infrastructure further enhances the quality and performance of its internet access services for corporate and wholesale customers.

The new interconnection provides Evolink's customers with optimized, low-latency access to the rich ecosystem of networks present at InterLAN-IX. This includes major content delivery networks (CDNs), internet service providers (ISPs), and other key players in the regional digital economy. By exchanging traffic directly with these networks, Evolink can deliver a faster and more reliable online experience for its business clients, ensuring that their data travels along the most efficient path.

"The new connection to InterLAN-IX aligns with our commitment to providing high-quality, low-latency services to our corporate customers and telecom operators," said Svetoslav Hristov, Chairman of Evolink. "This development is a key part of our strategy to continuously invest in our network and provide our customers with the most direct and resilient routes to critical internet resources. Businesses that rely on our services will see tangible benefits in the performance and reliability of their internet connectivity, particularly for traffic to and from Romania and the wider region."

InterLAN-IX is a neutral interconnection platform with a significant presence across Romania and international points of presence in Frankfurt, Germany, and Sofia, Bulgaria. With over 180 connected autonomous systems and daily traffic peaks exceeding 800 Gbps, it is a critical hub for internet traffic in Southeastern Europe. The direct connection to InterLAN-IX complements Evolink's existing peering arrangements with other major exchanges like DE-CIX, LINX, AMS-IX, France-IX, GNM-IX and BIX, further solidifying its position as one of the best-connected providers in the Balkans.

Evolink continues to focus on expanding its network and service portfolio to meet the evolving demands of its customers. This new interconnection is another step in the company's mission to deliver resilient infrastructure, superior service, and innovative solutions to businesses across the region.
