Evolink Data Center Sofia 2 PCI DSS certified

Evolink brought its Evolink data center Sofia 2 in line with the requirements of the PCI DSS standard. The data center is certified as a Level 1 Service Provider for physical security and information security.

The Payment Card Industry Data Protection Standard (PCI DSS) is a patented security standard for organizations that process credit card information and transactions from major brands, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB. The PCI standard is designed to increase control over the cardholder's data to reduce credit card fraud and requires validation of current compliance to be performed annually. PCI DSS certification is critical for banks and financial institutions, as well as for the widest range of companies that do business online, ensuring the secure processing of online payments in transactions between customers and businesses, including e-commerce, content providers such as online video and music services, cloud services, etc.

By certifying its PCI DSS data center, Evolink enables companies that operate with cardholder data and have such certification or plan to acquire, to co-locate their information systems in Evolink Data Center Sofia 2. Banks, insurers, media, online merchants and all other areas of business that sell goods, services and content online will be able to operate in full compliance with the recommendations and requirements of the card payment industry.

"PCI DSS certification is another step of Evolink in the direction of developing and maintaining a secure and reliable information environment for business" - said Biser Tsonev, CEO of the company.

Evolink's PCI DSS certification is available upon request.
